When the weather is hot and humid, I really don’t want to go to work.
The AC unit does not work very well and neither does the ventilation system.
The ventilation system is supposed to keep all of the metal particles out of the air and out of our respiratory system. Unfortunately, it really doesn’t work very well. I often wear a mask at work so I don’t have to be concerned about the small particles of steel. I work in a factory that makes plastic coated and PVC coated double loop rebar ties. Double loop rebar ties are a necessary part of infrastructure. They hold the pieces of rebar together. They need to be strong but flexible. The PVC coated and plastic coated double loop rebar ties are made directly in the area where I work and they are shipped all over the country. We are one of the only factories where all of the items are made in the USA. A week ago the AC unit broke down in the shop and we have been working in conditions that are less than ideal since then. Not only is the AC having problems, but we also have to worry about the ventilation system. I would think that with the covid virus still out there, that the boss of the place would be more inclined to fix the problems with the indoor air quality and climate control. I hope someone will notify the human resource department. You have to leave a name, so I won’t do it. The last person to complain to HR mysteriously got laid off.
