This is why rebar wire tie is a great construction material

After years of dealing with potholes and buckling pavement on our road, it was finally time for a repair.

As the construction crew arrived, I couldn’t help but be fascinated by the process.

They had to remove the old road and metal pipes, which turned out to be rebar. My dad explained to me that the rebar provided stability to the road and that 16ga galvanized double loop ties were used to keep it in place. The ties had loops on both ends that made it easy for the workers to secure the rebar together. I watched the workers closely, hoping to see how they used the ties to bind the rebar.
